The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for maximizing the benefit of technology investments. This is done by planning, designing, developing, and coordinating the implementation of financial and operations system solutions. This position also provides system administration support for assigned applications. The project is focused on online customer acquisition and retention. The customer signup process is complex. It must balance keeping bad actors out while making it easy for new customer. The Business Systems Analyst will participate on an Agile Scrum team.
 
What you will do

  • Collaborates with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, operations and system goals and requirements.
  • Gathers and analyzes data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements
  • Communicate complex data flows with Data Mapping or Data Roadmap software
  • Develops solutions strategies and prepares reports of findings.
  • Provide recommended actions based on those findings
  • Leads process improvement efforts by documenting current processes and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and processes.
  • Helps manage product delivery by coordinating approvals, programming and testing.
  • Reviews change control and enhancement requests
  • Communicates system changes and provides training documentation to end users.
  • Provides system administration support
  • Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

 
What you bring to the table
 

  • 5-7 years’ experience with BA / Product Owner skills
  • Experience working with software development teams where those teams focused on developing in a MS-tech stack (ASP.NET, C#, SQL, .NET Core, Microservices APIs)
  • The ability to understand complex data flows and communicate them to a development team
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server. Basic query skills, data retrieval methodologies and knowing how to read table structures.
  • Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts.
  • Excellent technical skills with Microsoft network and PC operating systems
  • Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies and processes. (2+ years)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload in a high-pressure environment and to instill a sense of urgency in others as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to identify and develop solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
  • Excellent process and project management skills.
  • Strategic and problem-solving mindset with developed analytical abilities and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time

 
Pluses

  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Experience with Google Analytics/ Google Tag Manager
  • Experience using Power BI
  • Aha! Mapping software
  • Scrum Master or Agile Certifications
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps
  • Working knowledge of MS Dynamics
  • Financial systems background

 
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, Management Information Systems or related field preferred.
