Decide Consulting is looking for a Help Desk associate for a contract to hire role with our Houston, TX client. This candidate will play an integral part in the delivery of projects for current and future customers. The company has grown the past year and expect to have similar growth in 2020. We are looking for a candidate that can step up to the challenge of helping this company maintain client satisfaction as well as deliver on future projects.
What you will do:

  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repair of PC's, printers, cell phones and other hardware.
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and experience diagnosing complex issues with success. Install and deploy desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
  • Field support requests from end users by telephone, e-mail and ticketing system.
  • Investigate and resolve support requests to a final resolution.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot end-user hardware and software.
  • Creating technical documentation and service request system response updates.
  • Document, track and monitor IT support requests. VOIP phone systems support. Perform any other supplemental duties as assigned by management.

Competencies Required:

  • Experience with Windows operating system, Microsoft Office and mobile devices Understanding of PC hardware, printers and mobile device hardware.
  • Understanding of general networking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and email.
  • Working knowledge of Azure a plus.
  • Experience using mobile device support for Apple IOS and Android platforms.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • 2 years of experience working within a support team.
  • 1 year of field service experience.
  • 3 years of Microsoft Windows OS installation, configuration, updates and support.
  • 3 years of Microsoft Office 365 user support and email support and configuration.
  • 2 years of end user application support 2+ years of Help Desk experience

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or an equivalent amount of directly related experience.
