Our amazing national client is looking to bring aboard a Division Fleet Manager for their San Jose , California location. This role will travel roughly 50 % and take care of essentially the North-West American fleet as it pertains to vehicles,  tools, material handling, and off-road equipment.

What you will be doing:

  • Place equipment requests
  • Coordinate repairs with project managers and mechanics
  • Track and document equipment repairs
  • Track and monitor equipment and vehicle inspections are kept up to date
  • Track and reconcile equipment utilization
  • Schedule outsource repairs when necessary
  • Obtain price quotes for equipment and tools and like items (for cost comparison)
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate regulations for legal operation at the time of deployment
  • Maintain fuel usage information and issuance of new cards/PINs via online database, as well as fraud investigations (WEX)
  • Manage registrations, first time and renewals, either through third party vendors, online or local DMV, including SMOG, BIT, CARB, etc.
  • Prepare, verify and submit P-card statements
  • Maintain local databases for leased and owned assets for compliance and tracking purposes
  • Data review for continuity and compliance
  • Track asset locations via telematics device and provide information when needed
  • Identify and prioritize equipment needs for all company divisions and offices
  • Ensure compliance to policies, procedures and standards
  • Support management in acquisition and disposal of inventory requiring constant and concise communication with the corporate office and accounting department
  • Travel to our operating units, work with, and interact with area managers
  • Maintain parts inventory at adequate levels
  • Additional duties as needed or assigned
  • Supervision of Division Mechanic

What you bring to the table:

  • 5+ Years of Fleet Management experience
  • History of working with leased and rented assets
  • Basic understanding of vehicles, material handling and off-road equipment
  • Ability to identify trends and strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, heavy use of Excel
  • Must be self-motivated and driven once given guidance and instruction
  • Quick learner with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new programs/websites
  • Strong sense of priorities when performing daily tasks
