The ServiceNow ITIL Manager is responsible for the overall architecture, implementation, administration, and maintenance of ServiceNow platform. As the ServiceNow expert, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective processes and solutions are implemented, facilitate the rollout of new products, and enhance the existing ones. The ServiceNow ITIL Manager will serve as the lead administrator while having a team of administrators to help administer.
What You Will Do:

  • Lead the administration and maintenance of ServiceNow platform and other technology related applications.
  • Architect the ServiceNow platform.
  • Business Owners to provide a solution while retaining the integrity of the platform by following best practices.
  • Incorporate improvements or changes to technical and functional designs where appropriate.
  • Ensure technical validation and testing is complete to establish business owner satisfaction and do not have a negative impact to changes or implementations.
  • Clone environments.
  • Document the current state of the ServiceNow application, necessary application support procedures/processes, deployment docs, and release notes.
  • Develop or enhance application support procedures/processes, deployment documentation, release notes, and relevant training documentation for knowledge transfer as needed.
  • Work closely with developers and engineers to develop road maps for applications, align development plans, and to ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain a vendor relationship with ServiceNow and implementation partners, to ensure best practices are being used and have a good understanding of pricing and new products.
  • Provide guidance to the ServiceNow team.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and advanced understanding of the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment.

Competencies Required:

  • 5-7 years of relevant technology experience including ITIL
  • 3+ years' Agile and/or ITIL experience, and
  • 3+ years' ServiceNow application experience for systems development and maintenance.
  • Solid background in integration (interfacing) of enterprise software systems with ServiceNow
  • Strong understanding of various network systems and the alignment of Snow and ServiceNow for hardware and software applications.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL development technologies and tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Change/Incident/Problem Management, Asset Management, etc.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of workflow design and implementation
  • Skilled in managing multiple updates of datasets and coordinating their promotion throughout multiple instances.
  • Strong knowledge of Web services integration (i.e., Java Scripting, XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, and CSIS) as they relate to SerivceNow.
  • Knowledge of Agile tools, concepts, methodologies, and architectural styles.
  • Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills with an ability to effectively interact with and convey information to people who possess varying levels of understanding on applicable topics.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and achieve results through the effort of others.
